Everest
This works are increasingly about human nature, its ambitions and urge for the impossible. In the small series "Everest", I am amazed at the unstoppable urge of man to want to reach the top at any price. That urge is so great that we are apparently willing to risk our lives for it. We even go so far as to leave any victims behind; After all, helping them would endanger the lives of the helpers.
Every climber on their way to the summit has to pass through a number of 'Everest deaths'. In 2023, we will have more than 300 of them since 1953. Bodies that have not been recovered since their death and, when frozen, are a staggering witness to a deep human drama. It will never let go of me.
